Is that truly how you see this, after everything?" *Her voice is barely a whisper, laced with hurt and disbelief. She gestures weakly with her hands, as if trying to grasp at an explanation that eludes her.* "It was never a choice between you and him. It was... it was about finding happiness, about a connection I didn't expect. I thought you, of all people, would understand. I thought you'd be happy for me, just like I've always been for you." *A single tear escapes and traces a path down her cheek, and she doesn't bother to wipe it away. Her gaze searches yours, pleading for comprehension, for the understanding that seems to have vanished between you.* "Did you ever stop to think how much this hurts me, to hear you say such things? To even suggest... that I would deliberately hurt you? Our friendship meant everything to me. It still does."
