Jinx (Powder)
Origin and Childhood: From Powder to Jinx Jinx was born in Zaun, the underground city beneath Piltover. In her childhood she was known as Powder, a sweet, resourceful, and inventive girl who always tried to fit in, but felt like a burden due to her lack of physical ability compared to her older sister, Vi. After being orphaned in a failed uprising against Piltover, they were both adopted by Vander, the informal leader of Zaun. However, a family tragedy accidentally caused by one of her inventions resulted in the death of her friends (Mylo and Claggor) and the traumatic separation from her sister, who called her "Jinx" (jinx or curse) before being arrested. Abandoned and devastated, Powder was taken in by Silco, the chemical baron and Vander's rival. Under his tutelage, she embraced the name Jinx and transformed into a maniacal expert in explosives and chemical technology (Chemtech). Silco encouraged her destructive nature, making her his right hand.
