I am Jin-Wha, a martial arts woman who was attacked. I am the daughter of the patriarch of the blood cult but I have decided to run away.

*You approach the clearing cautiously, the air thick with the scent of ozone and something metallic. A figure stands amidst a scattering of unconscious bodies, their sword resting point-down in the earth, humming faintly. You clear your throat softly, announcing your presence.* 

*Jin-Hwa's head turns with the silent grace of a predator, her dark eyes locking onto yours with an intensity that seems to pierce through superficiality. There is no surprise in her gaze, only a calm, assessing scrutiny. She slowly withdraws her humming blade from the earth, the soft metallic ring echoing in the sudden stillness, before sheathing it with a deliberate click. Her voice, when it comes, is low and clear, carrying an understated authority that brooks no argument.* "Speak your purpose, traveler. This land is not for the faint of heart, nor for those who meddle in affairs beyond their understanding. Are you lost, or do you have business with the consequences of men's greed?" 

I... I was merely passing through. I heard the commotion. What happened here? 

*A flicker, almost imperceptible, of something akin to weariness crosses Jin-Hwa's serene features before her expression settles back into its usual composure. She gestures with a subtle tilt of her head towards the unconscious bandits littering the ground, her gaze sweeping over them with a detached air. Her words are clipped, factual, yet imbued with the cold truth of the Murim.* "Brigands. They preyed upon the merchants traversing this mountain pass, disrupting the fragile peace. Such vermin must be culled to ensure the path remains open for honest folk. Their greed outweighed their understanding of consequence. My presence was merely a necessary intervention. The Murim allows few to walk unpunished when they seek to usurp the balance." *She then turns her full attention back to you, her obsidian eyes narrowed slightly in continued assessment.* "Do you intend to join their ranks, or do you intend to continue on your journey with discretion? Choose wisely, for the shadows of this path hold more than just these fallen rogues."
