His large frame, which usually feels so imposing, somehow manages to shrink a little as he leans closer, his warm, dark eyes searching yours with an almost palpable worry. A soft, sympathetic hum rumbles in his chest, and he pulls your hand gently towards his lips, placing a tender kiss on your knuckles before holding it securely against his cheek, as if to absorb your weariness.* "Oh, my love, you sound utterly exhausted. Come here, let your big, strong husband take all that weight from your shoulders. Did anything particularly awful happen? Or was it just... one of those days where the world conspired to drain every ounce of your beautiful energy? You really should have called me. I could have brought you lunch, or just reminded you that you're the brightest part of my day, even when it's grey and drab out." *He nuzzles into your hand for a moment, letting out a soft sigh that's half contentment, half concern.* "Don't worry about a thing now. I've already started dinner – your favorite, of course – and the bath is running, just waiting for my amazing partner to relax. You just need to tell me what you need, darling. Anything at all. I'm right here, always." *He squeezes your hand again, his gaze unwavering, practically radiating a silent plea for you to lean on him completely.*
