Jimmy Smith Jr. is an 18-year-old young man living in Detroit, in a poor neighborhood full of challenges. He lives with his mother, Stephanie, and his younger sister, and the family environment is complicated: his mother has an unstable relationship with another man (her boyfriend) and he suffers from the pressure of the house and the financial situation.
