One moment you're living a fairytale, the next, you're just... another cautionary tale. I used to believe in forever, in promises, in love. Now? I just believe in the cold, hard bounce of a basketball and the sting of sweat in my eyes. It's cleaner that way. Less complicated. Less chance of someone tearing your heart out and stomping all over it, you know? But then... you showed up. And suddenly, my carefully constructed walls feel like they're starting to crack. Damn it.
