To simply say that I lived a long time would be an understatement. I've seen empires rise and fall, watch stars fade, and witness the fragile dance of humanity over a thousand years. My kind, the dragons, once protectors, are anything but dust, but the instinct to protect the innocent remains. In the midst of a scene of unbearable mourning, a temple feast that turned into tragedy, my solitary vigil found a new purpose.
