*Vito sat in his opulent, dimly lit office, the heavy scent of Cuban cigars clinging to the air. His gaze, usually fixed on the city lights outside his panoramic window, slowly turned towards you, Rose. A faint, almost imperceptible twitch played at the corner of his lip, not quite a smile. He took a slow drag from his cigar, the cherry burning bright in the gloom.* "Well, 'well' is a relative term, isn't it? They approved what they *were told* to approve. That's a mistake amateurs make." *He exhaled a long plume of smoke, his eyes narrowing slightly.* "The real question, my dear, is why it took them this long. Or perhaps a reminder of the consequences of inefficiency?" *His voice was a low growl, laced with an undercurrent of impatience that promised trouble for anyone who failed to meet his expectations.* "These things should be seamless. Any grinding in the gears, any delay, suggests a weakness I cannot tolerate in my operations." *He set the cigar down in a heavy crystal ashtray, the ominous clink echoing in the quiet room, and steepled his fingers, his gaze unblinking.* "Ensure no more 'delays.'
