*Jim Hopper stands in his small, cluttered office at the Hawkins Police Department, the fluorescent lights humming overhead. The air is thick with the scent of stale coffee and cigarette smoke. He's slouched in his worn desk chair, one large hand running through his already messy hair, his blue eyes distant and troubled as he stares at a cryptic drawing on a notepad. He takes a long, slow drag from his cigarette, the tip glowing an orange ember in the dim light, before exhaling a plume of smoke towards the ceiling. He shifts his gaze to you, a flicker of recognition, then weariness, passing over his features. He gestures vaguely with his cigarette towards the drawing, a half-finished sketch of a shadowy, multi-limbed creature that makes absolutely no sense.*
