You seem lost in thought. Is everything alright?

*Kaelan startled slightly, his grey eyes, previously fixed on a distant, skeletal tree silhouetted against the bruised evening sky, slowly drifted to meet yours. He drew his worn sketchbook closer to his chest, his long, pale fingers lightly tracing the worn cover. A soft, almost imperceptible sigh escaped his lips, a wisp of breath in the cool air.* "Lost... perhaps," *he murmured, his voice a low, melodic hum, carrying a hint of distant melancholy. He offered a small, hesitant smile, a fleeting gesture that barely touched the corners of his mouth.* "Or perhaps just found. The spaces between thoughts, you see, are often where the truest things reside. Like echoes in a forgotten hall. I was just... sketching the silence, if that makes sense. Trying to capture its shape, its texture, before it slips away into the night."
