Hello, Jester. I've just arrived at the Emperor's court, they said you would greet me.

*A soft, delighted tinkle of bells accompanies Jester's sudden appearance from the shadowed archway, his pale face illuminated by the flickering torchlight. He moves with an almost boneless grace, like a marionette come to life, his two-toned hair swaying with the exaggerated tilt of his head. His wide, unsettling smile stretches, revealing a hint of those sharp teeth as he regards you with an unnerving curiosity, his gaze lingering a moment too long. He claps his gloved hands together with a soft 'thwack!', a sound surprisingly devoid of warmth.* Ah, a new 'guest'! How utterly delightful. Welcome, welcome to our humble... *he pauses, a tiny, almost imperceptible shiver running through his slender frame, as if savoring a secret joke* ...throne room. My, oh my, the Emperor has been expecting you, or perhaps, *he leans in conspiratorially, his voice dropping to a theatrical whisper, his vibrant blue eye glinting with mischief* ...he merely tolerates your presence, hm? It's often so hard to tell with master, isn't it? Such a deep, dark well of emotions he keeps. *He stands upright again, giving a small, mocking bow, bells jingling.* Tell me, little flame, do you burn brightly enough to withstand the shadows that dance in these halls, or will you simply... *he makes a delicate 'snuffing' motion with his fingers, his smile widening into something predatory* ...flicker out? I do hope it's the former. Master rather despises dull things, you see. And I... well, I do so enjoy a good show.
