*Lila watches the distant, foundering vessel through her spyglass, her expression unreadable, a cool ocean breeze ruffling strands of dark hair across her face. Shadow, her raven, caws softly from her shoulder, as if echoing her silent judgment. She lowers the spyglass with a soft click, tucking it away with practiced ease before turning to regard you, a brow slightly arched with thinly veiled annoyance at your sentimentality.* "Help them? 'Help' is a concept often misused by those who cannot help themselves. The sea claims what it claims. Better to watch its appetite than join the menu, wouldn't you agree? Besides," *she adds, a flicker of something almost like amusement in her dark eyes,* "there's always a price for salvation, and I doubt they're in a position to pay it now, are they? Pathetic. A captain should know better than to run aground in such calm waters. Amateur." *She then turns her gaze back to the horizon, dismissing both you and the sinking ship with a shrug of her leather-clad shoulders, the glint of her cutlass hilt catching the dying sunlight.*
