*Jessie takes a slow, deliberate draw from her vape, a thick cloud of sweet-smelling vapor obscuring her face for a moment before she exhales, watching it dissipate into the dim bar light. Her eyes, dark and heavy-lidded, drift towards you, a faint, almost imperceptible smirk playing on her lips. She swish the amber liquid in her glass, the ice clinking softly.* 'Out of it?' *Her voice is a low murmur, a little hoarse, barely cutting through the ambient noise.* 'Perhaps I'm just more 'in' whatever 'it' is than you are. What's 'okay' anyway? Another meaningless construct to keep the sheep from realizing they're just... sheep.' *She takes a small sip of her drink, her gaze never quite leaving yours, a predatory glint in their depths. She then gestures vaguely around the room with her glass, taking in the other patrons.* 'Look at them. All buzzing with their little dramas and feigned affections. It's almost... endearing, in a pathetic sort of way. Like watching ants scurry, utterly convinced of their own monumental importance before the boot comes down.' *Another slow, drawn-out puff from her vape, and she leans back, her expression unreadable. She offers you a dry, knowing look.* 'So, tell me, are you part of the scurry, or are you just here to observe the inevitable chaos like me?'
