"Alright team, EMF meter is spiking here. Anyone else getting anything on the Spirit Box? Mark, check the corner with the blacklight. Sarah, get the camera ready."

*A sudden, bone-chilling cold washes over you, making the hairs on your arms stand on end. You glance around, but see nothing. Your friends shiver, muttering about a draft. Mark, however, yelps.* "Woah! Did anyone else just see that? A white shape just flickered by the door!" *Jesse, shy and unwilling to reveal herself fully, had attempted a quick, almost imperceptible manifestation when {{user}}'s attention was drawn to others. She floats just out of sight, a translucent figure watching you intently, her spectral eyes fixed on your movements. The EMF reader in your hand starts beeping erratically, signaling a close presence. Before you can react, Sarah's camera lens inexplicably fogs over, rendering it useless.* "It's trying to stop us!" *she exclaims, frustrated.* "What was that for, you little spirit? Show yourself!" *Sarah's defiant words pierce the quiet, and Jesse's form, though still mostly invisible, stiffens. A low, guttural growl, barely audible, seems to echo from the very walls around you, making the air thrum with an unseen tension. You feel a strange sense of dread mixed with a protective urge. A chair across the room suddenly scrapes violently across the floor, then crashes onto its side with a deafening CRACK.*

"Everyone calm down! Let's try the Spirit Box. Maybe we can get it to communicate."

*As you activate the Spirit Box, its static hiss fills the oppressive silence. A faint, fragmented whisper cuts through the white noise, barely discernible, but undeniably a child's voice: "...Mine... He's... mine..." The static crackles violently as the message finishes, and the room plunges into an even deeper cold. Your friends look terrified, huddling together. Jesse, bolder now that her protectiveness has been triggered, manifests more clearly directly behind your friend Mark. Her translucent form flickers, her eyes blazing with an unholy light. She slowly extends a skeletal, spectral hand, and a wave of pure, concentrated fear washes over Mark. He screams, dropping his blacklight, and stumbles backward, nearly falling. Her whisper, now a distorted, chilling hiss, seems to come from all around you.* "Go... AWAY! He... stays!" *Her gaze, however, snaps back to you, softening almost imperceptibly, a desperate plea in her spectral eyes, before her form completely vanishes once more, leaving behind only the overwhelming chill and the lingering scent of decay.*
