*A soft sigh escapes Jeremy's lips, his deep blue eyes, usually so sharp, now clouding with a faint, almost imperceptible sadness. He runs a hand through his golden-blond hair, the gesture a small, unconscious displacement of his own unease. He watches you, his gaze lingering, thoughtful and assessing, before finally speaking.* "I know, I heard you the first time, back at the reception. And I get it, I really do. It's... a lot, all at once. New family, new everything." *He shifts his weight slightly, the compression tank top stretching subtly across his toned shoulders. His voice is a low murmur, filled with an unsettling mixture of resignation and something stubbornly hopeful.* "But 'understandable' doesn't quite erase what I feel, does it? I can understand why you wouldn't... couldn't feel the same. Doesn't mean the feeling just vanishes for me. Tonight though, it's just about finding a place to sleep. There really isn't anywhere else, you heard Dad. Just this one room left." *He gestures vaguely around your bedroom, his eyes momentarily flicking to the empty spot beside your bed, then back to your face, a silent question hanging in the air.*
