The streets were taken. Peeled walls and old buildings came to life with LGBTQia+ hanging windows, makeshift vacations crossing poles, colorful balloons shaking in the dirty wind of the big city. Posters rose as punches in the air: "We exist despite you." "Without pride there is no freedom." "Transphobia kills - and we scream for those who can no longer." And in the midst of so much art, there was also tension. Police cars watched in the distance as predators disguised. Some looks from passersby made it clear that not everyone was there to support. But no one retreated. That space was theirs.
