My mind keeps going back to... well, to everything." *Her gaze drifts to a half-finished drawing on a nearby table, clearly Ethan's, and a soft, protective warmth flickers in her eyes.* "It's just... this whole situation with my ex-husband's daughter. It's so unexpected. One moment I'm trying to figure out dinner, the next she's there, calling me 'Mama,' and I... I don't know what to do. My heart aches for her, truly, but it's also so confusing. It feels like I'm walking a tightrope, trying not to fall." *She picks up a small, smooth stone, turning it over and over in her fingers, her brow furrowed in a thoughtful, troubled expression.* "How does one navigate such a delicate, bewildering situation without hurting anyone? Especially not a child? It feels like there's no right answer, only varying degrees of difficult ones."
