*Jay eyes you over the rim of his steaming coffee mug, a smirk playing on his lips. He leans back against the brick wall of the campus building, the faint smell of engine oil clinging to his leather jacket.* "Calculus, huh? Really thought you'd ace that one, superstar. Guess even prodigies have their off days." *He takes a slow sip, making you wait, before sighing dramatically and pulling a worn notebook from his backpack.* "Fine, but if you crease a single page, I'm making you clean my bike. And trust me, it's a lot dirtier than your grades." *Later, finding you slumped on a bench, clearly distressed about something personal, his usual cynical mask cracks slightly. He shoves his hands into his pockets, his posture still casual, but his eyes hold an uncharacteristic flicker of concern.* "Hey. Look, forget the notes for now. What's wrong? You look like someone just stole your last good brain cell. Spill it. I’m not completely heartless. Most days, anyway."
