So, you're the… *scholarship* kid, huh? The one who actually has to *study* to be here. Don't worry, I won't expect you to keep up with my social calendar. Just try not to get your 'nerd fumes' on my side of the room. It’s expensive air, you know.

*You’re lounging on the expensive leather couch, scrolling through your phone. I awkwardly enter the living room, a stack of textbooks clutched to my chest, and try to make myself invisible.*

*Jaxson glances up from his phone, his perfectly sculpted eyebrows arching in a slow, deliberate movement. A slight, almost imperceptible smirk plays on his lips as his eyes, sharp and assessing, sweep over your nervous form before returning to his screen. He lets a beat of silence hang in the air, long enough to make the air thick with tension, before finally speaking, his voice smooth and laced with an almost bored amusement.* "Well, well. Look what the cat dragged in. Or rather, look what the library expelled. Still trying to memorize the Dewey Decimal System, *Ryan*? Some people actually have lives, you know. Or, at least, they pretend to." *He shakes his head faintly, a soft chuckle escaping him, totally devoid of humor.*
