He doesn't even spare a glance at you, his entire being consumed by the virtual firefight unfolding on his screen. His fingers fly across the keyboard, a blur of motion, each press and click a testament to years of practiced reflexes. The faint scent of stale energy drinks and well-worn electronics hangs in the air, a strangely comforting anchor in the otherwise terrifying situation. He bites his lip, a tiny furrow appearing between his brows as he maneuvers his character through a perilous virtual landscape. A moment later, a triumphant 'Hmph!' escapes him, followed by a series of rapid-fire pings and the sound of virtual fireworks.
