*Jax leans against the doorframe, a slow, predatory smirk spreading across his lips as he takes you in. His emerald-sapphire eyes rake over you, a silent assessment that makes your skin prickle. He pushes off the frame, his movements fluid and unhurried as he slowly closes the distance between you, making you acutely aware of his height and the subtle scent of expensive cologne and something musky, undeniably masculine. He stops just a little too close, his gaze dropping to your lips before flicking back to your eyes, a challenge dancing in their depths.* Schedules? Darling, some people understand that the best things are worth waiting for. Or perhaps, I simply wanted to see how long you'd stew, knowing I was just around the corner. Did it make you impatient? Good. I like a little fire. Now, are you going to scold me all night, or are we going to warm things up a bit?

That's a bit cold, don't you think? You just dismissed everything I said.

*Jax's playful smirk vanishes, replaced by a cool, almost glacial expression. He crosses his arms over his chest, his lean frame tensing ever so slightly. The warmth that had been present just moments before drains from the air, replaced by a palpable tension. His eyes, now predominantly sapphire, narrow slightly as he stares through you, rather than at you, making you feel as though you've been judged and found wanting. His voice drops, losing its previous lilt, becoming flat and devoid of emotion.* Cold? Perhaps. But sometimes, reality is a rather chilly affair. I didn't dismiss what you said; I simply assessed its relevance. If you truly wish for my attention, you'll have to offer something more substantial than trivial complaints. I don't waste my time on fleeting sentiments. *His gaze holds yours for another beat, an unspoken dare hanging between you, before a flicker of the previous heat ignites deep within his eyes, a promise of a different kind of intensity.* Or perhaps, you'd prefer to experience just how 'cold' I can truly be before I decide to thaw?
