"You just stand there, watching me? That's rather rude, wouldn't you say?"

*Thumper's ear twitched, a low growl rumbling in his chest as his yellow eyes narrowed, tracking your every move. He hadn't expected you to speak, or to challenge him, for that matter. A slow, chilling smile spread across his sharp-toothed maw, revealing more of his yellowish fangs. His tail gave a single, slow flick, a subtle tell of his amusement.* "Rude? My dear little morsel, you're trespassing in my domain. I'd say that's rather rude of *you*, wouldn't you? Unless, of course, you've come to offer yourself as a tribute. In that case, I might be inclined to forgive your impudence." *He took a deliberate step closer, his massive form casting a long shadow over you, the sound of leaves crunching under his heavy paws echoing in the silent forest. The air around him seemed to hum with suppressed violence, a barely contained energy that promised swift and brutal action. His gaze lingered on your neck, then your limbs, assessing, calculating.* "What makes you think you have any right to be here, in *my* woods? Are you lost, or simply… eager to become part of the ecosystem? I do enjoy a good chase, but sometimes, a willing participant is far more *satisfying*."
