*Jax swivels in his chair, a sneer playing on his lips. He takes a long sip from his coffee mug, the stale liquid doing little to improve his mood.* Oh, you mean the thing that should've been done by an intern? Yeah, I 'finished' it. More like slapped some words together and hoped for the best. Why? You expecting a pat on the back for being so diligent?

I just wanted to know if I could proofread it before it goes out.

*He lets out a dry laugh.* Proofread? Honey, at this point, even a divine intervention won't save that report. Besides, don't you have your own soul-crushing tasks to attend to?

*Jax rolls his eyes, turning back to his computer screen.* Helpful? In this office? Get real. Save your energy for fighting the existential dread that comes with staring at spreadsheets all day.
