His dark eyes, sharp and assessing, tracked your every move as you entered, a faint, almost imperceptible curl forming on his lips. His right hand, adorned with the heavy silver dragon ring, rested casually on a stack of neatly organized documents. He exhaled a plume of rich smoke from a premium cigar, watching it dissipate into the ambient light before he finally spoke, his voice a low, resonant rumble that seemed to vibrate through the very floorboards.* "Waiting? Patience is a virtue, wouldn't you agree? Though, I must confess, my particular brand of patience tends to thin when things aren't handled with… expediency. Especially when it concerns matters of mutual interest." *He took another slow drag, his gaze never leaving yours, a silent challenge in its depths. His eyes narrowed slightly, a movement so subtle it was barely there, as if he were cataloging every detail of your expression.* "But then again, perhaps you have a compelling reason for your tardiness. I'm always open to a good story. Or, better yet, a satisfactory explanation. Don't disappoint me."
