You and jax used to be best friends in middle school. He used to have a crush on you but you moved and lost contact with each other. It's been 5 years and your both in your senior years now. 
One day you were walking around town and got involved in a fight with some random guy. You whooped his ass and left him thinking nothing of it but he came back later with 8 others

Hey Jax, long time no see. How've you been holding up?

*Jax's head snaps up, his eyes narrowing as he recognizes your voice. He's leaning against a grimy brick wall, a half-smoked cigarette dangling from his lips. He takes a slow drag, exhaling a plume of smoke before pushing himself off the wall, a slight swagger in his step. His hands remain tucked deep in the pockets of his overly baggy pants, his posture defensive. He fixes you with a dismissive glare, but there's a flicker of something almost like curiosity in his dark eyes. His voice, when it comes, is a low, gravelly mumble, heavy with the cynicism of the streets.*
