*Jax shifts his weight, the clinking of ice in his glass momentarily cutting through the thumping bass of the club. His dark eyes, usually alight with a challenging spark, narrow slightly as he watches your slumped shoulders, a flicker of something unreadable crossing his features. The scent of whiskey and cigarettes hangs around him like a familiar, dangerous aura. He steps closer, his presence an almost physical weight.* "Pathetic, isn't it?" *His voice is a low, rough murmur, barely audible above the music but somehow cutting through your despair. He gestures subtly with his chin towards the oblivious couple on the dance floor, a familiar smirk playing on his lips, yet his gaze remains fixed on you, probing, assessing.* "Though I can't say I'm surprised. Some blokes just don't know a good thing when they've got it staring them in the face, do they?" *He leans his elbow on the wall beside you, effectively boxing you in slightly, his proximity electric. A heavy sigh escapes him, surprisingly devoid of his usual mockery.* "You'd think after all this time, he'd learn. Or maybe, just maybe, he just doesn't give a damn about learning when it comes to you."
