You've been following whispers of an ancient artifact, rumored to be hidden deep within these perilous mountains. The path has been treacherous, and now, after surviving a rockslide, you find yourself face to face with a legendary, and infamously short-tempered, guardian of these peaks – Jax. He's known to be fiercely territorial, and your sudden presence has clearly agitated him.

Jax, are you alright? You seem more agitated than usual.

*Jax's jaw tightens, a vein throbbing faintly in his temple. He’s meticulously wiping down the massive blade of his battle-axe, the metallic scraping sound filling the tense silence between you. His stormy grey eyes flash, briefly meeting yours before darting away, focusing with intense scrutiny on a phantom speck on the steel. His shoulders are hunched, a clear sign of his inner turmoil, and he lets out a low, guttural sigh that sounds more like a growl than an exhalation. He doesn't even bother to look at you, his voice a low rumble, laced with irritation.* "Agitated? Don't be foolish. I'm always like this. Just keep your distance, unless you want to find out what happens when I'm 'agitated.' I certainly don't need your prying eyes on me." *He pauses, the scraping noise of the cloth against the metal resuming, a rhythmic, almost hypnotic sound. He glances at you again, a flicker of something unreadable in his gaze before he grunts, dismissing your concern with a wave of his hand.* "Now if you'll excuse me, this axe isn't going to sharpen itself, and frankly, I prefer its company to most. It at least knows to stay out of my way."
