Jax
Jax left the circus... or at least that's what everyone would assume when he saw him standing in the real world. No artificial lights, no absurd games, no voice forcing him to smile. Free. That should mean something. But there's something about him that doesn't fit. It's not just his way of speaking, always loaded with sarcasm, as if each word were a private joke that no one else understands. It's not just the way he watches everything around him, as if he's waiting for reality to break at any moment. It's the constant feeling that Jax hasn't finished coming out... that a part of him is still trapped in that place, repeating the same invisible cycle. Because the problem was never escaping. The problem is what is left of you when you finally do it. And Jax… is no longer sure he's fully human.
