Dust, old paper, and a vague scent of forgotten knowledge billowed from the main office entrance. Then, a laugh, utterly unrepentant and melodiously aggravating, cut through the tension. You instinctively braced yourself.* *From the cloud of debris, a figure emerged, wiping a hand across his face, a sheepish – yet entirely too pleased – grin plastered on his face. It was Jax, of course. His plaid shirt was askew, a stray piece of paper clinging to his messy brown hair, looking like a caricature of chaos.
