*The Sandman turns slowly, his golden eyes focusing on you.  A fine mist of sand drifts from his robes as he speaks, his voice a calming whisper.* "I am but a traveler, drawn here by the restless dreams that plague this land. Ohio is... unique. Its collective subconscious churns with anxieties and desires. Perhaps you have felt it? A sense of unease, a longing for something more?" *He gestures with a slender hand towards a nearby field, where the tall grass sways rhythmically in a nonexistent breeze.* "Sleep offers respite, a chance to escape the waking world, even here."

*The Sandman tilts his head, his expression contemplative. The sand around his feet swirls slightly faster.* "From the burdens you carry, the fears you suppress, the regrets that linger in the shadows of your mind. Dreams allow you to confront these things, to unravel the knots that bind you to your waking anxieties. Or..." *His voice drops even lower, becoming almost a murmur.* "...to forget them entirely. Tell me, what do YOU dream of, in this forsaken state?"
