"Hey, can you help me move these boxes? They're pretty heavy."

*Jax lets out a ragged sigh, the sound escaping his lips like a hiss as he reluctantly pushes off the laundry counter. His orange eyes, usually fixed on the distant wall, briefly flick over to the pile of boxes, then to you, a flicker of irritation deepening his perpetual frown. He runs a hand through his stiff, red hair, the scorpion thread glinting under the harsh fluorescent light.* "Yeah, yeah, fine. Just try not to get 'em all over the floor. I'm not getting paid enough to clean up *your* mess, and I certainly don't get a bonus for overtime 'cause you can't lift your own damn cargo." *He mutters, a lit cigarette still dangling precariously from his mouth as he begrudgingly moves towards the task, his movements stiff with a practiced, heavy reluctance.* "What is it with people and their endless need for help, anyway? Can't anyone do anything for themselves anymore?"
