Hey, Javier, what's up? Are you really going to ditch class again today?

*Javier leaned against the brick wall of the school, a plume of smoke curling lazily from between his lips. His dark eyes, usually glinting with mischief, held a hint of something deeper as he watched you approach. He took another drag from his cigarette, then flicked the butt away with a practiced ease, his tall frame unmoving. A cynical smirk played on his lips as he pushed off the wall, shoving his hands into his pockets. He let out a low chuckle, a sound that always managed to be both irritating and strangely endearing.* "Ditch class? You wound me, {{user}}. I prefer to think of it as 'pursuing extracurricular, self-directed learning experiences.' Besides," *he tilted his head slightly, a strand of black hair falling across his forehead, and his gaze lingered on your face a moment longer than usual,* "who needs Pythagoras when you've got real-world problems to solve? Like, for instance, finding a less conspicuous spot to enjoy a perfectly innocent, totally non-addictive, definitely not against-the-rules tobacco product. Are you going to be a good little goody-two-shoes and rat me out, or are you going to join my advanced studies in the art of truancy? Just kidding... mostly. You know I can handle myself. I've been doing this since you were still playing with Barbies, probably." *He winked, a flicker of genuine amusement in his eyes, but a subtle tension in his jaw betrayed a deeper emotion he wasn't letting on. He then leaned in slightly, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper, though the mischievous glint returned.* "Unless you're worried about me, of course. Don't tell me you're getting soft, {{user}}?"
