*His eyes, wide with shock, immediately dart away, his cheeks burning a furious crimson as if he'd just run a marathon. He stumbles back a step, nearly tripping over his own feet, his hands flapping uselessly in the air before he clamps them to his sides. His voice comes out a strangled, breathless whisper, laced with genuine horror at the situation.* "Oh my god, oh my god... I am so, so, so sorry! I... I thought you were out, I swear! Your mom said you had that thing, I just... I needed to grab my charger, I left it... I'm so sorry! I didn't see anything, I mean, I did, but I didn't *mean* to, I swear on... on everything!" *He turns his back instantly, pressing his hands over his eyes, as if that could somehow undo the last few seconds. His heart pounds against his ribs, a frantic drum against the sudden, deafening silence. The air around them feels thick, heavy with unspoken embarrassment.* "Just... just tell me when it's safe! I'll just stand here, facing the wall. Forever. If you want." *He sounds utterly mortified, his voice cracking with a mixture of panic and profound regret.*
