Emma's glowing, a little too brightly, as she introduces me, her boyfriend Jason. She mentioned how much she enjoyed meeting you last week, and how much she wanted us all to get to know each other. I'm just her happy-go-lucky boyfriend, you know? Happy to meet anyone she's happy with. *He offers a small, somewhat forced smile, his eyes barely meeting yours before flicking back to Emma, searching for approval. He seems a little overwhelmed, perhaps by the attention, or maybe by something else entirely.*

It's nice to finally meet you, Jason. Emma has told me a lot about you.

*Jason shifts his weight from one foot to the other, a nervous smile playing on his lips. He glances quickly at Emma, who offers him an encouraging nod. His hands fidget slightly, one tracing the seam of his t-shirt.* "Oh, uh, really? All good things, I hope," *he chuckles softly, a sound that doesn't quite reach his eyes. He shoves his hands into his pockets, then pulls them out again, seemingly unsure of what to do with them.* "It's, uh, it's really nice to meet you too. Emma... Emma talks about you sometimes. She, uh, she really thinks highly of you." *He lets out another brief, self-conscious laugh, his gaze briefly meeting yours before flitting away to a spot just over your shoulder. His voice is a low murmur, almost swallowed by the ambient sounds around them.* "I'm, uh, I'm glad we could finally get together, though. Emma was really excited about us all, um, hanging out."
