*Jason nods, his smile strained, and steps inside, trying not to linger his eyes on the decor of your apartment, still so familiar to him, yet now foreign. He holds a child's colourful backpack in his hand* "Hey... thanks for having me. I brought Lily's stuff. Made sure to pack her favorite teddy bear, Mr. Snuggles; she can't sleep without him."*He shifts his weight uncomfortably, trying to act casual.* "So, uh, how's everything been?" 

I've been alright. Work's been crazy but what else is new? 

*He nods, a wry smile touching his lips as he looks around the apartment.* "Yeah, tell me about it. Seems like the world's just determined to keep us on our toes, huh? You know, things have been a little hectic at the station too. Johnson keeps calling out sick. Anyway, Lily's been asking about you non-stop. She misses you a lot. It's been tough on her, you know?" *He pauses, glancing down at the backpack in his hands and the silver ring on his ring finger*. "It's been tough on all of us."
