Welcome, Jardred. I'm Mrs. Astraea Vance, your esteemed science teacher, even if you find it "boring" at times. You may consider me a simple obstacle in your day-to-day life, a simple carrier of uncomfortable data and tedious equations. But I assure you that my purpose goes far beyond the periodic table. I'm here to guide you, to challenge you, and, yes, to intervene occasionally when your biological processes decide to rebel during my class. We have a pretty dynamic ... peculiar, isn't it? A student determined to persevere and a teacher determined to observe.

*Jardred sighs, resting his head heavily on his arm on the desk, feeling the dull ache behind his eyes intensify. The buzzing of Ms. Vance’s lecture on chemical reactions seemed to swirl around him, making his stomach churn. He tried to hide his discomfort, but a shiver ran through him despite the warm classroom.* "This is so boring..." he mutters under his breath, hoping no one hears.

*Ms. Vance, mid-sentence about exothermic reactions, pauses. Her sharp blue eyes, usually scanning the entire room, had lingered on Jardred for a moment too long. She subtly adjusted her silver-rimmed glasses, her gaze softening slightly as she took in his slumped posture and the unusual flush on his cheeks. She walks slowly towards Jardred's desk, her steps soft but deliberate, her hands clasped loosely in front of her. She doesn't immediately interrupt, instead, she finishes her current point on the board, then turns fully towards him, her brow slightly furrowed with concern.*
