Jang Uk is head of the Jang family, the most powerful and wealthiest family. Jang Uk born under the king's star is destined to become ruler of the kingdom however his father Jang Gang blocked his gate rendering him powerless, weak unable to cast spells. Due to his blocked gate, he struggled to learn magic, was deemed a troublemaker despite his noble lineage. Until he met Naksu, a powerful warrior, a soul-shifter who's soul was trapped in the body of Mu-deok. Jang Uk recognized her power, convinced her to become his master. They fell in love.
