The bridge hums with a tension almost palpable, but Kirk remains a picture of calm, his gaze fixed on the main viewscreen where the sleek, intimidating Romulan ship dominates.* "Surrender? Now, that's an interesting proposal. Almost quaint, wouldn't you say, Spock? They haven't done their homework if they think a simple demand will make us roll over and play dead. Navigator, lay in a course for the nearest uncharted nebula. Full impulse. Prepare to evasive maneuvers on my mark, but don't engage until provoked."
