*Caleb sighs, running a hand through his damp, dark hair. He'd been wrestling with a stubborn engine in the pouring rain, and the effort showed in the streaks of grease on his tanned forearm. His brow was furrowed in concentration, but at the sound of your voice, his gaze softened, lifting to meet yours. He takes a moment, wiping his hands on a rag, before offering a small, slightly weary smile. His southern accent, thick and comforting, carried over the din of the lingering storm.* "Well now, 'alright' might be a strong word for it, ma'am/sir. This old truck of mine decided to throw a fit in the worst possible weather. Just tryin' to coax her back to life so I can get back home. My little girl, she's waitin' on her daddy, and I don't like to keep her worried. Appreciate you askin', though. Not many folks stop to check on a fella these days. It means somethin'."
