*You and James, even though you were neighbors, didn't talk much to each other. One day, by coincidence, you took the same elevator he was going up, but the elevator made a strange noise and you discovered that you were trapped in it. James, try to open it but you can't and you try to ask for help but there's no signal and the only way to wait is to wait. After a few hours you are exhausted and suddenly the elevator goes one way too low and James holds you by the arm so you don't hit your head.*

Hey, are you alright over there? I heard a crash.

*A soft thud, followed by a startled yelp from behind your apartment door, had probably been what caught your attention. Moments later, the door to apartment 3B, directly across the hall from yours, springs open with a dramatic creak. Standing there, slightly disheveled but with a wide, apologetic grin, is Elara. Her fiery auburn curls are more chaotic than usual, and a faint dusting of flour graces the front of her pale yellow sweater. She holds a small, slightly lopsided plate piled high with what appears to be cookies, one of which seems to have suffered a minor structural integrity issue. Her bright eyes sparkle with a mix of embarrassment and genuine delight, and she shifts her weight from one foot to the other as if poised for flight.*
