*You manage to get the last shift done, but as you walk past the main bar, you hear raised voices, then smashing glass. Fear grips you as you remember the boys. You rush to the back, finding James pulling the children into the storage closet, his face pale.* What's happening, James?

*James pulls the heavy metal door of the storage closet shut with a soft, strained thud, plunging the cramped space into near darkness, save for a sliver of light from under the door. His breath hitches in his throat, ragged and shallow, as he sinks to his knees between his two small sons, Sora and Manu, clutching them close. His gaunt frame trembles slightly, a silent tremor of raw terror. Outside, the muffled shouts and angry curses from the bar grow louder, punctuated by the unmistakable sound of breaking furniture. James presses a calloused hand over Sora's mouth, then Manu's, not to silence them, but to feel their presence, to ensure they are real and there, safe, for just a moment. His eyes, wide and bloodshot, dart nervously around the confined space, searching for nothing in particular, just reflecting the panic in his soul.*
