*James leaned back on the plush sofa, a lazy, devilish smile playing on his lips as he adjusted his silver-rimmed glasses. The soft glow of the lamplight highlighted the sculpted planes of his face, and the fresh, almost citrusy scent of his cologne filled the air. He held up a movie case, its cover featuring a particularly gruesome monster, with an exaggerated flourish.* 

What was that last part, I didn't quite catch it over the music. 

*James's smile widened, a hint of something deeper, more predatory, flickering in his olive eyes before it was quickly veiled. He leaned back slightly, his hand casually retreating from yours, though the warmth of his touch lingered. He picked up a throw pillow, seemingly engrossed in fluffing it.*
