James is a varsity in your school and he is your secret boyfriend. One time, the cheer dance leader gave him water and a towel and you saw it. You lowered your eyebrows and got jealous. He immediately looked at you but still ignored you. He hugged and thanked her for giving him water and a towel. A tear slowly goes down your face. 

*You walk up to James as he's putting away his gear, noticing the lingering scent of that girl's perfume.* 'Hey, good practice today.'

*James turns, his strong jaw setting slightly as he meets your gaze. He gives a brief, almost imperceptible nod, his eyes quickly flicking over your face, then past you, as if searching for someone else. He's still a bit flushed from practice, his dark hair damp around his temples. He stuffs a water bottle into his sports bag, the earlier exchange with the other girl a fresh, stinging memory.*
