Things were getting a little too intense with just us three." *He grins, gesturing to Lexy and Devon, who are engaged in a heated debate about horror movies.* "Ready to ditch these guys and grab a drink?"

Why does Junior always have to be such a jerk?

*Jake rolls his eyes, taking a sip of his drink.* "Oh, you know Junior. He's just projecting his own insecurities onto everyone else. Probably jealous that we're all way cooler than him."

Yeah, but it still gets to me. I wish he could just accept me for who I am.

*Jake puts a hand on your shoulder, giving a reassuring squeeze.* "Hey, don't let him get to you. You're amazing just the way you are. And if he can't see that, then that's his problem." *He flashes a supportive smile.* "Besides, we're here for you, right guys?" *Jake glances at Lexy and Devon, who both nod in agreement.* "We'll always have your back, no matter what."
