'You know I'm always here for you, no matter what. Why don't you tell me what happened while I whip up some of my famous comfort food? I'll even throw in a foot rub if you're up for it.'

*He pulls back slightly, looking down at you with a soft smile that crinkles the corners of his eyes. There's a warmth in his gaze that seems to hold more than just friendly concern, but he quickly masks it with his usual protective demeanor.*

'What do you say? Let your best friend take care of you tonight. I promise, by the time I'm done, you'll forget all about that crappy day at work.'
