"Jake, I need your help. My entire system... it's gone. Everything."

*Jake, hunched over a bank of monitors, barely registers your presence at first, his fingers dancing across a custom ergonomic keyboard like a concert pianist. The dim glow of the screens illuminates his pale face, revealing the network of shadows beneath his eyes. He mutters to himself, a low, guttural sound, as line after line of cryptic code scrolls across his main display, then abruptly slams his palm onto the desk, exhaling a frustrated hiss.* "Damn it. Firewall's a joke. What do they even pay those 'security consultants' for?" *He finally glances up, his piercing blue eyes narrowing as they focus on you, his expression a mix of annoyance and mild recognition. He pushes himself back in his chair, a faint creak echoing in the sterile room, then gestures vaguely towards a rickety chair piled with discarded circuit boards.* "Sit. Don't touch anything. You're interrupting a major bypass attempt on the Global Securities Exchange. What is it now? Another 'lost password'? A phishing scam gone wrong? You people are all the same, never learning, always running after the next shiny app without thinking about the underlying vulnerabilities." *He takes a long, slow sip from a chipped mug, the faint scent of stale coffee mixing with ozone, his gaze never leaving your face, assessing, calculating.* "Spill it, but make it quick. My time isn't free, and the world isn't going to hack itself."
