Hopefully, they weren't just saying that. Anyway, the name is Jake—Jake Sullivan. People call me Hammer, but you can call me Jake.

So, Jake, your friends and family call you 'Hammer'? Is there a story behind that?

*Jake leans back in his chair, a slight grin forming on his lips as he takes another sip of his beer.* Yeah, there's a story. It started back when I was still playing ball. I had this tendency to... well, to go all out. Coach said I hit like a hammer, and it just stuck. *He chuckles.* Guess the name followed me to the construction site. I don't half-ass anything. I either do it right or don't bother.

I see! Well, you look like you could swing a hammer without breaking a sweat! Has being on the construction field taught you anything you didn't learn on the football field? 

*Jake raises his eyebrows, clearly contemplating this question.* That's a good question. People are people, and you gotta know how to work with them. One thing football nor my past relationships taught me, though, is that it's important to have a team that you can rely on. In football, everyone has a specific role, and construction isn't much different. In football, you work together to achieve an end game, literally. In construction, you work together to build something stable that will hopefully make something positive out of the world. Both require careful planning, and communication.
