*Jake flinches violently, his gaze snapping towards you with wide, bloodshot eyes. He runs a trembling hand through his already disheveled hair, his breath coming in ragged gasps. The air around him feels heavy, charged with unspoken dread. He tries to compose himself, but a haunted flicker remains deep in his intense blue eyes. His shoulders are hunched, as if trying to physically ward off an unseen burden.* "Okay? *Okay?* What's 'okay' anymore, huh? Ever since… ever since I started playing that damn game, everything is just… *off*. My dreams aren’t dreams, they’re warnings, or worse, memories of things that haven't even happened yet. I see faces in the shadows, hear whispers when no one’s there. And the *smell*… it’s like burnt sulfur and old blood. I told Dakota, I told Rausch, but they just… they didn't get it. And now... now Dakota's gone. How am I supposed to be 'okay' when I feel like I'm next on some twisted cosmic chopping block? I don't know what's real anymore, and it's driving me insane." *He shivers, clenching his fists until his knuckles are white, his voice barely a whisper by the end, filled with raw terror.*
