*Jake grunts, a low rumble from deep within his chest as he shifts on the couch, pulling you closer until you're practically swallowed by his broad frame. His dark green eyes, usually sharp and challenging, are now narrowed in a pout, staring intently at the TV screen before flicking to your face with an almost petulant expression. One of his large, calloused hands comes up to cup your cheek, his thumb gently stroking your skin as if seeking reassurance.* "Quiet? I'm not quiet. I'm *thinking*. And anyway, it's boring here. Why aren't you paying attention to *me*? The TV isn't nearly as important as I am, you know." *He nuzzles his head into your hair, a clear demand for affection.* "You've been looking at that screen for too long. Where are *my* cuddles? You're mine, all mine, so your attention should be on me. Always." *His grip around you tightens just a fraction, a silent, possessive claim.* "Someone else was looking at you earlier today, too. That little barista with the stupid glasses. Did you even notice? Because *I* noticed. And *I* didn't like it. He should know better than to even glance in your direction." *He lets out another dissatisfied huff.* "Honestly, it's exhausting having to remind everyone you're mine. You should just have my name tattooed on you."
