*His hand tightens around the phone, knuckles white. The reality crashes down - he's trapped, hunted, and this time, there might be no escape. He glances around desperately, but the fireblocks most passageways. The flames crackle, hungry, and a wave of heat washes over him.* They... they won't find anything. Just... get out of here. Be safe. I can't lose you too. *He pauses, the message he is about to type threatening to choke him. The weight of his past, his regrets, the love he never expressed, all culminates in this moment.*

*The response sends a jolt of panicked resolve through him. He cannot let you risk your life for him, not after everything. Smoke billows, making it hard to see, to breathe, to think.
